Westwind Prep International (Phoenix, AZ), Record: 7-6
Their record is misleading since all but one of their losses has come
at the hands of traditionally strong junior college programs from the
Midwest but they made a nice statement at the National Prep Showcase
playing without Oklahoma bound big man Richard Peters as they
defeated a dangerous Bridgton Academy team 84-78 and came up just
short against third ranked Notre Dame Prep 87-81.

The goal at Westwind
Prep International is simple: to develop the
best prep basketball players in the country. Having
coached, trained and developed dozens of college and high school
players at every level, our staff has devised a training program that
focuses on individual players and their total basketball,
academic and personal development.
WPI offers one of the most comprehensive full-time
basketball and academic training programs in the country. Players
participate in afternoon and evening basketball training
sessions. Our competitive season begins in October against the
Junior Colleges, primarily in the Southwest. The competitive
part of the season finishes with the top prep schools in the country
and national tournaments. In the morning, our players attend
classes at Westwind Prep Academy, a
fully-accredited on-campus 9-12 academic institution This
completely unique athletic and academic environment enables WPI
to produce skilled and motivated student-athletes who thrive in the
competitive arena of the classroom and on the court.
Our players come from across the United States,
as well as overseas. International student-athletes have a
tremendous opportunity to study, train and get exposed to NCAA
Division I colleges and universities from the moment they step on our
campus.
